Guess What - your customers are looking for you!

Would you be surprised to find out that I speak to a lot of people looking for EXACTLY what some local business owners LOVE to do?

Do you know what these potential customers SAY?

  • They have no idea where to find the RIGHT person to provide them with what they are looking for.

  • They search in their communities and online and don't find the RIGHT people.

  • They ask peers and others in their communities and ...more dead ends.

  • Sometimes, they hear about someone who seems to be a possible fit, but when they try to find their contact info - they don't seem to exist.

These are people who you wouldn’t need to “sell” on your services - but just show them what you do! They are buyers - ready and waiting to buy.

So your job is to help them find you.

You could

  • rent a billboard

  • advertise in local magazines and papers

  • put coupons in ad-packs

  • advertise on FaceBook or Instagram

  • find local businesses with complementary services to refer you

  • lots of other possibilities

So how do you pick the right combination of things?

We could overthink this - but we are going to keep it simple.

Your best customers are ____________ (who?)

Be specific. What do they like? Where do they shop? What activities do they participate in? What kind of cars do they drive - or do they bike or walk? What type of food do they eat? What restaurants would they eat at? Do they have pets? Travel? Drink wine or beer or hard stuff? Favorite books, movies, music? Do they hang out on Facebook? Instagram? Linkedin? Do they hang out somewhere else? Or in person?

Once you can clearly describe your BEST customers - you want to make sure you are doing things so that they will come into contact with info about YOU and What you do/make/provide.

How do you find out where these places are? ASK your BEST customers! You want more customers like them - so let them be the experts on THEM.

You also want to make sure that businesses sort of like yours but who can’t provide your services- know about you and can easily pass your information on to others. Do the same for them and you’ll have a great referral partner!

If you need help defining who your best customers are - give me a call and let’s hash it out. You would be surprised what we can figure out in a quick directed chat. Then you are ready to take the next BEST step toward your BEST customers finding you.
