You are the genius who creates beautiful, practical artwork for others to wear, use or display.
You are the artisan with the skill, vision, and passion to create and you love your customers to feel a passion for their purchase.
But you don’t always get to enjoy that - because you are working so hard at the STUFF of running a business. If that was easier you could enjoy being a creative artisan again.
It is easier than you might think - you just need a guide.
Things that could be getting in the way your success.
1. Confusion about what to do 1st!
You aren’t the only one in this position!
I talk to a lot of business owners who REALLY are experts and masters at their profession- AND don't work for anyone except their customers. They love the work they do, the things they create, or the problems they solve.
Their WORK is AWESOME and should stand out and be enough to get them more of the great projects and customers they want to work with.
At least that is how they see it. But the reality is they aren’t getting as many of those great projects as they would like.
As they search for how to change that- there are a ton of ideas out there., but WHICH one do they start with? Which ideas are not appropriate for THEM? Most of the ideas have a learning curve and they can’t do them all at once - so how do they find out where to spend their time and energy to get the biggest impact?
2. Too much confusion about How To implement the 1st thing.
Once you choose the 1st thing - the next step is HOW to make it happen. A search on the internet can leave you totally confused within an hour or two- feeling like you’ll never figure it out. Even with determination and a spreadsheet to sort out the various ideas - terminology that is confusing as well as directions that leave a lot to the imagination can leave you totally exhausted and ready to throw in the towel before you even get started.
3. Lack of Resources and someone to help you think through the situation.
If you are like me, at this point you buy some books and maybe a couple of online or in-person classes to learn HOW to take the actions. The reason you get a couple of each is that none of them are clear enough and directly apply to what you are doing - so you are kind of comparing their techniques and directions, to figure out each step. By the time you compare the methods - you have spent hours and feel like you are more confused than you started out. Friends, family and cohorts are as clueless as you and totally not helpful.
If you take the first step, you could get the answers you need.
Keep it simple and be fearless. Asking a few questions to someone who has done the research and wants to help you move forward is a simple first step. So why should you ask me?
